On my walk a few days ago, this sight caught my attention...
What I noticed first was the ladder, the shadow, and the light.
It was all so wonderfully sharp and crisp...
...so well defined.
Later, once I had downloaded the photos
I was able to pay closer attention to all the details.
That is an unusual collection of windows
and somewhat oddly placed.
The ladder gives it all a sense of balance.
I wonder, is it always there?
Or was someone planning to climp up the ladder
to polish that delightful porthole window?
For some reason ladder and people on ladders make super photos.

That is a great shadow - but I was nervous until I read about it, thought you were going to say you were climbing it! Hope you're caring for that pulled back.....no ladders in your near future dear one!

The shadow is striking. I hope who ever goes up there is careful. We have had 3 friends fall from a ladder and broke their back/neck.

ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the porthole window. What drew my attention was the little shadow of branch to the right of the downstairs window, it's as though it's been painted on.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo. It reminds me of years ago in Africa when we needed to get up to the water tank on the flat roof of our house and left the ladder up by mistake and toddler son climbed up it (safely thank goodness and passer-bys on the street called for us to come rescue him!) .

That is one TALL ladder! I think the shadow emphasizes its length.
