About 4:00 yesterday afternoon, I opened the cupboard door to get a drinking glass...
...and spent the next few minutes photographing shadows!
I have lived in this house for over two decades
and somehow never noticed the way the light reflects
through the kitchen window onto the open cupboard door.
I think it might have been bouncing off the windshield
of a car parked in the street...
...at first the shadows were only stripes
then they faded away for a few seconds
and returned again, this time silhouetting birds and flowers...
...some of the objects on the shelves
in the window over the sink.
It's good to have a camera at the ready at all times!

Beauty lives in the most humble things. You captured it so beautifully, Sara!
ReplyDeleteI love it when we find a new point of view. And it is even better when the camera is handy!
ReplyDeleteNeat pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe have a small etched piece of glass hanging in a window and it is amazing how much gets reflected in it and bounced even into other rooms. Flashes of sun or car headlights. etc. It's constantly in motion. Your pictures are great!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting to be an amazing seer and looker.
ReplyDeleteA sentence with several meanings!
The collage is a piece of modern art.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Camera toting is essential!
ReplyDeleteYour shadow shots are lovely, Sara!
