You may have noticed the link on my sidebar to The Elizabeth Goudge Society. The guest article this month, about Elizabeth Goudge's love of poetry and use of it in her work, is such a wonderful piece that I am posting this to encourage anyone interested in her to click this link and read it. Enjoy!

I have her book of prayers as well. Very sweet. I do enjoy her so. Haven't found another author quite like her in writing style.
It is a wonderful thing to set in a lovely garden and feel and see a November day the way Elizabeth Goudge did. Thanks for the post.

Are you back from your time away? Your photos are spectacular of the northwest. I'd been looking for your window photo. Will you lose those leaves eventually there in so Ca? Ours have not changed much yet. Looking forward to getting my EG book--hasn't arrived yet!
Thanks so much for the link. I greatly enjoy her use of poetry, and wish that I could always see in it what she obviously saw, and before she pointed it out to me. :-) Yes, she had a wonderfully romantic sensitivity to and insight into poetry.
I clicked the link but see that I want to spend more time reading there so will go back. What I did see was interesting as they are my own sentiments about the writing of E.G.
Yes I found your window view. Pretty unchanged, like mine. I should have waited a few days, also! Many more leaves on the ground now. But it is high 70s here today. You never know about the weather here.
I didn't know that Elizabeth Goudge wrote poetry, although I've read several of her novels. A new discovery - thank you!
